Discovery & Scope
The first step is our contact form, where we ask for a brief description of your project. This allows us to determine if you're in the right place with ODB, or if we would serve you better by recommending one of our trusted partners. Our primary goal is to ensure you end up with the best possible result - not to take on every project that comes to us.
Design Session
Once we've determined your project is a fit for ODB, we schedule time with one of our designers: Gayle for a new outdoor space, or Gretchen for an indoor space. They'll meet with you one-on-one, at your home, and help put your vision down on paper.
A Portable Design
By the end of your session you'll have a custom design sketch that you can take to anyone - not just us - to obtain a bid. We encourage you to gather two or three comparative estimates, and we certainly hope one of those is from us. If you choose ODB, we credit the entire cost of the design session toward your project.
Refinement
Should you decide to work with us, we walk you through every nuance - from structural layouts and roof tie-ins to high-end amenities like outdoor kitchens, custom garage and workshop features, fireplaces, and climate control. Every last detail is accounted for, with an overall plan and scope that meets your needs, financially and creatively.
Detailed Scope & Budget
Our estimate includes a breakdown of each element in the project and its cost and budget. We lead with cooperation, not competition, and we pride ourselves on complete transparency - from pricing to project planning and scheduling.
Construction
As construction begins, and throughout the process, we're in communication with you regularly: updating on progress, addressing questions, implementing changes you wish to make, and making sure the build is just as smooth and hassle-free as the design. You'll be fully informed ahead of time about each step, so you can give every decision the time and consideration it deserves.
